In my experience as an esthetician must have a knowledge of basic chemisty & product ingredient.Cause we need to be a smart consumer & instruct the clients to choose the correct products or cosmetics.
Chemistry is one of the physical sciences ,Many people think chemistry concerns only scientists.Actually it concerns everyone ,including esthetician,in some way.
Chemicals & chemical changes make life on earth possible .the daily functioning of our bodies is based on chemical reactions.the skin is made of chemicals,so are all cream, lotion,masks and makeup-whether they come from natural subtances such as plant extracts or from ingredients manufactured in alaburatury.
The products the esthetician uses are the lifeblood of the facial treatment .the active agents in those products do the actual work of cleansing,normalizing,moisturizing,or otherwise treating the skin.Before using any product on aclient,you should know what the product is supposed to do ,how it works, and how it should be used. you should be familiar with each ingredient in the product and be aware of potential side effects
AS THE TUTOR LIFE though only few month but i miss my student hope they will be a professional asthetician in future
